South West AGM and visit to Mallet Court Nusery

The AGM for the South West JGS will take place at the Bell Inn in Curry Mallet, 5 miles from Taunton. Starting at 11am, the AGM will be followed by an illustrated talk by Yoko Kawaguchi on Japanese maples. A visit to a local nursery specialising in rare and unusual plants and trees will follow lunch. Lunch is payable separately at the Bell Inn.

South West JGS is taking part in Cardiff's Japan Day celebrations at the Central Library in Cardiff. There will be stalls, exhibitions and activities including a kimono show, demonstrations of the tea ceremony, musical performances and dancing. South West JGS will have a tabletop Japanese Garden, highlighting scented and tactile ground cover plants.
