South East Region Virtual Meeting

November 22 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm

We are delighted to announce another interesting meeting.  Following the SE virtual AGM on Sunday 22nd November we are planning to bring you two exciting talks which will start at 11.30am:

Gardens are truly a sanctuary especially without crowds by Noriko Hamamoto, Hamamoto Garden Design.
By video link from Japan, Noriko will guide us on a virtual visit to Ginkaku-ji and Tenryu-ji gardens in Kyoto in this quietest of times marked by an absence of foreign visitors.

Japanese Gardens, Tea culture and Social Etiquette by Suzanne Perrin, Cultural Director Japan Interlink.
The Edo period (1603-1868) in Japan was characterised as a period of Taihei, ‘great peace’, where domestic economy and social pursuits flourished in the arts, crafts, architecture and gardens of the time. Suzanne is a popular and extremely informative speaker and we are very pleased to have her deliver this year’s Maureen Busby lecture.

If you wish to attend this meeting, please contact the secretary at sesec@jgs.org.uk.
