Thu 12 August to Mon 27 September National Visions of Paradise - the Japanese Garden in the UK.  An exhibition in the foyer of the Japanese Embassy, Piccadily, London, covering the history and development of Japanese gardens in the UK.
Sat 14 August Midlands Pruning and garden workshop at Danescourt, Birmingham.
Sat 4 September Midlands Visit to a bamboo nursery in Herefordshire combining a talk on bamboo and the progress of the Japanese style garden there.
Sat 4 September North West Workshop at Calderstones Park, Liverpool, with Professor Fukuhara
Sat 11 September Scotland A study day on Japanese gardens in conjunction with Edinburgh College of Art with speakers Professor Fukuhara and Haruko Seki.
Sun 26 September South East Chiddingstone Castle's experts on the treasured Japanese lacquerware, sword and armour collections.
2 -3 October National 'The Japanese Garden in the UK'. A two day conference in Cambridge with guest speaker Dr Wybe Kuitert, Professor at the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Seoul National University and author of 'Themes in the History of Japanese Garden Art'. Booking Essential.
Sat 9 October South West A visit to two of Cornwall's gardens: Pine Lodge and the Bonsai Nursery at St Mawgan.
Sat 16 October Yorks & Humber 'Hands On History - Japanese Swords' seminar at the Royal Armouries, Leeds, followed by a guided tour of the Oriental Gallery.
Sat 16 October Scotland A day in Peebles visiting the early 20th century Japanese Water Gardens at Stobo, followed by Dawyk Botanic Gardens.
Sun 17 October North West Come and meet us at Japan Society North West's Japan Day at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
Sat 6 November North West Programme to be arranged
Sat 20 November South East The Maureen Busby Memorial Lecture at Sarratt near Rickmansworth, and a talk on the newly constructed Japanese garden at Norwich cathedral.
